Welcome to the Household of Ravensweir

Who We Are

The Household of Ravensweir is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. We are located in Quesnel, BC, Canada. Ravensweir is within the Kingdom of An Tir and the Principality of Tir Righ.

The Society for Creative Anachronism, (SCA for short), is a social nonprofit group dedicated to the research and re-enactment of the Middle Ages, not to unlike a civil war re-enactment group. The SCA is a world wide group, with branches in the United States, Canada, England, Australia, Africa as just a small example.

In the SCA we study the European Middle Ages, including its crafts, arts, sciences, culture and traditions, literature, fighting styles and combat techniques, and much more. The time line the SCA focuses on is 600AD to 1600AD. The members of the SCA develop personas, or characters, that could have existed in the Middle Ages. Any nationality in existance during the Middle Ages acceptable, with behavior befitting the visitation of a European Court.
